Sustainable Economy Summit April 21st

Put Friday, April 21, 2017 on your calendar and come!

The  Sustainable Economy Summit will inform you about types of renewable energy, energy efficiency and other aspects of the sustainable economy, and help communities start to plan and implement sustainable development to bring economic growth to the county.

Evergreen is part of a coalition whose vision is to kick off a longer range project. Ultimately, we would like to see the creation of a county-wide task force to investigate and encourage jobs and training in the clean energy sector, one of the fastest-growing sectors of our economy.

In order to facilitate this broader goal, the Summit is pitched to municipal and county officials. Those officials are far more likely to move forward if they see that citizens, taxpayers, and voters are in favor of broadening this region’s economic base, thus its timing on a Friday. Open to the public. No charge for students.

Please consider attending all or part of this day-long gathering to visibly show your support for a Sustainable Task Force. Registration in advance is needed.

Please spread the word by sharing the event or forwarding this information to others.
