Climate Change Program April 26th

“What does the average person need to know about climate change”? Evergreen Conservancy will sponsor a program on Friday April 26th at 7:00pm at Blue Spruce Lodge during which Dr. Jonathon Warnock will discuss this question, and others, related to climate change.

Dr. Warnock teaches geoscience classes at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He grew up in a small town near Chicago. He saw his small town swallowed up by suburban sprawl and that experience influenced the direction of his career. His master’s study at the University of Illinois focused on polar work which involved travel to both poles. Particularity interesting was work at Svalbard, north of Norway.

Dr. Warnock will cover how climate change works and why climate is changing, and will include some predictions and consequences.

This program is free and open to the public.
